Other Countries Canada has its very own African Violet Society of Canada to promote growing and showing of African violets in our country. A number of other countries are fortunate to have similar national organizations. There are also associations which foster the growth of not only African violets but all of the violet's gesneriad relatives. Of course, there are also general horticultural societies where our African violet friends can find refuge if they do not have a national society dedicated specifically to African violets. Australia
