What is a Miniature African violet?"

A miniature African violet is an African violet whose diameter when mature is not over 6 inches. Occasionally a vigorous grower in this category will get larger, but they must be trimmed to 6 inches or less in order to be entered in miniature classes in shows. They are normally grown in 2 1/4 inch pots to help maintain their small size and to keep the pot and plant in proportion to each other.
